Judith Crane, LMFT, LPCC

Judith Crane

Judith crane is a Marriage & Family Therapist. Judith has over 15 years of experience as a clinician working with individuals from age 18 to 80 and their families. Her specialties include substance use disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, grief and loss and difficulties in relationships. A collaborative approach and a compassionate attitude toward the person are key for Judith in developing a good rapport and a mutual understanding of the goals for treatment. Her techniques are tailored to the person and include evidence-based approaches that are designed to support growth through increasing insight into how thoughts, language and behavior are perhaps out of alignment with how they see themselves. This incongruence can often be a source of suffering and can fuel unhealthy behaviors (i.e. substance abuse, anger issues) as a way of managing the misaligned self. Judith includes mindfulness skills to alleviate anxiety and depression and may also incorporate creative approaches to the work such as art therapy or journaling (no worries you need not be an artist or a writer to benefit from this process). Her sensitivity and awareness of your comfort and safety is paramount in any therapeutic work which may uncover unresolved loss or past trauma, identify limiting beliefs learned from childhood experiences or examination of relationship patterns that may be blocking you from living your best life. Her Integrative Therapeutic Approach utilizes cognitive-behavioral, psycho-education, psychodynamic, mindfulness and positive psychology interventions. Judith is a compassionate witness, a guide who will walk beside you on your journey to connect you to your authentic self, release emotional suffering, recognize your strengths and help you to learn how to have a healthier more satisfying relationship with yourself and thereby with others in your life.
