Jose Guillermo Rios Jr, LCSW, DSW

Dr. Jose Guillermo Rios Jr. received his Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University in 2018. Dr. Rios is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW # 110205) in the State of California with over 14 years of clinical experience. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. He has worked with children, adolescents and adults with simple and complex trauma. He has helped children, adolescents and young adults who have experienced or witnessed grief and loss, physical abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, domestic violence, community violence. He has extensive experience conducting infant, child, adolescent and adult assessments.

Dr. Rios believes that each person is the expert of their story and has many strengths to overcome the challenges that they may face in life. He believes every person should be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. His counseling style is interactive, empathetic and warm. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), psycho-education, and motivational interviewing to help his clients.
