Elena Bagourdi

Dr Bagourdi is a clinical/health psychologist, and a life coach, and specializes in the treatment of Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, and Addiction. In her work, she utilizes Depth Therapy, Existential Therapy and Person-centered approach to bring to the forefront and address issues related to underlying wounds that still linger and have resisted traditional therapeutic approaches, issues related to our self-esteem, poor coping skills and underlying fears. Her goal is to create the potential for individuals to make conscious choices about their lives, undeterred by wounds, and for them to achieve their potential dreams and aspirations both professionally or academically, as well as in their personal lives and in their relationships with themselves. Dr Bagourdi’s diverse multi-cultural experience rewards her with a deep understanding of the human psyche and a profound respect for the difficulties that people face when burdened by fear, procrastination, doubt or self-blame. Dr Bagourdi believes that individuals can improve their lives and accomplish their goals in a sustainable and meaningful way, and works to help her clients develop the tools that they need to get there. She is collaborative, warm and deeply invested in her work.

Dr. Bagourdi is the founder and CEO of EB Psychotherapy Inc. She holds a PhD in Clinical/Health Psychology, a Masters in Clinical Psychology, and a Masters in Organizational and Economic Psychology. Prior to her training as a therapist, she worked as an organizational consultant. She is also the Clinical and Program Director at EXIS Recovery, a dual diagnosis outpatient treatment center. She has a keen interest in her community and has also founded Elderly Behavioral Wellness Services, a non-profit organization that promotes the mental health of older adults and individuals with chronic illness.
